De ART-klasse staat in de producttitel of de specificaties. Hoe hoger de klasse, hoe zwaarder het slot en hoe beter de bescherming.

Kies een lengte waarmee je het voertuig aan een vast punt kunt koppelen. Alleen door het wiel sluiten voorkomt wegdragen niet.
Smeer het cilinderslot een paar keer per jaar met slotspray. Gebruik geen olie: dat trekt vuil aan en laat het slot juist vastlopen.
Sloten worden standaard met meerdere sleutels geleverd. Bewaar er altijd één op een andere plek dan bij het voertuig.
